Do YOU have what it takes to be a STAAR Mechanic?

A STAAR Mechanic:

  • has at least 2 years verifiable experience, or a graduate of trade school, or a combination of both

  • has his or her own tools

  • regards safety as the number one priority

  • capable of lifting 75+ lbs

  • holds Class A or B CDL or CDL permit, or has the willingness to obtain

  • is brake certified

  • can effectively use diagnostic equipment

  • is capable of diagnosing and repairing minor to major issues

  • must be able to follow instructions and work with little to no supervision

  • can pass a DOT drug and alcohol test

  • must be a team player

  • must be reliable and have reliable means to get to work

  • can work evenings and weekends when necessary

  • is professional when interacting with drivers, customers, and other team members

     Helpful,but not required:

  • ability to weld

  • willingness to travel on occasion

  • PA State Inspection License
